Please tell me about wheat flour export, is it possible or not from India?
Mr. Viral Shah (Subject Expert)’s reply –

India is doing a very good export of wheat flour. India is on 8th rank for export of its products. Thinks to take care off,

Certification/ licensing should be done properly.
The packaging should be as per the approved norms of licensing in the country that you export.

There are times when a buyer wants customization in packaging to make things clear with him. It is definitely possible to export wheat from India.

3)Question by Mr. Rahul Patel as on 14.05.19 –

In FSSAI registration compulsory for exporting agricultural products if I am a farmer? Is ISO compulsory for export?

Mr. Dipak Manohar’s reply –
If you are a farmer, FSSAI is not required. If you wish to export agro products as a farmer, you would not require FSSAI but if you are a manufacturer then you need to follow FSSAI standards. FSSAI applies to food products that are been manufactured from raw products in some form and not on raw products i. e directly produced if you wish to go to the international market. If you have FSSAI Registration then you would also get a buyer’s trust.

ISO is not at all compulsory for exporting. ISO does help you to increase the credit value of a company. ISO is a management system standard in the international market. It is useful to show it to the buyer that you are complying with the standards and the product is of good quality.
